Beeswax Wraps are a perfect way to reduce your usage of single use items, both plastic and tinfoil. This 2.5 oz bar will be enough to make three 12"x12" or six 9"x9" wraps from scratch (depending on fabric thickness). When using to refresh your existing reusable food wraps, it will last you far longer.
Materials: Beeswax, Pine Resin, and Jojoba Oil
Beeswax wraps are an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic wrap and tinfoil. Use to wrap a sandwich, cover leftovers, or wrap up some fruit for on the go. These wraps mold to whatever you’re putting it on using the heat of your hands. These are a great addition to your plastic free kitchen, whether you’re just starting out or experienced.
Care: After use, wash in cool water with soap and let air dry. Will last six months to one year, depending on care and level of use. When done, order a refresher bar to reinvigorate it or compost.
Do not put on anything warm. Beeswax has a low melting point.
Do not put on acidic food. The acid will eat at the wrap, weakening the coating.
Do not use on raw meat/fish. The bacteria in the food needs hot water to kill.
